ALONG THE EDGE EXPERIENCES

BEACHCOMBER’S CLAM BOIL

CREATE MEMORIES OF A LIFETIME!

Beachcombers Clam Boil

Duration: +/- 2.5 hours

Come meet local retired fisherman Jim Conohan and his wife and enjoy a traditional clam boil meal on his private property.

Learn all about the varieties of clams found on PEI beaches and shores and how to dig them properly.

Jim will take you for a stroll along the beach and teach you how to identify holes and how to dig clams lawfully.

We will cook what you pick that is in season along with other clams fresh from local clam farmers so you get to taste a wide variety.

You’ll also get to hear many of Jim’s 45 years of fishing stories which are absolutely priceless!

Location: Point East coastal drive

Allergies and Dietary Restrictions

Make sure to indicate any food allergies or dietary restrictions with your booking. We can accommodate gluten free, vegan or lactose free diets without the person missing out on any part of their meal as long as we know ahead of time. If your restriction isn’t listed, please inquire and we will do our very best to figure something out. Everyone is entitled to an enjoyable culinary experience!

Additional Important information and terms

The experience runs rain or shine. We will cancel only if the weather is actively dangerous and unsafe. Please be clothed accordingly.

         (Check Weather)

We would appreciate you not arriving more than 15 minutes early as it is a private property and we also run multiple experiences a day and need proper time to set things up in between ensuring you have the best experience possible.

Arriving on time is important! We run up to 3 experiences a day and you can imagine time is everything to make it work. There are, also, often multiple participants and we can’t hold everybody up. May we suggest that you Google ahead of time how long it may take you to drive to our place?

(Map/Directions)

Only guests with tickets are allowed on the property during the experience. We will not tolerate people excluded, sitting or wandering and waiting. Please make arrangements ahead of time.

The property is in the country with gravel, dirt ground and grass sitting right on the river and surrounded by the forest. We have mosquitoes and flies and they refuse to hide on command. We have machines to keep them away as much as possible and offer bug spray if needed. Make sure to wear appropriate clothing and shoes and can bring your own protection if you want. The place is really enjoyable when you come prepared!

The food is to be consumed during the meal. We do not allow leftovers to go.

We are not responsible for your children’s safety. Please ensure your child is properly supervised.

We love animals and have many ourselves, but there is a time and place for everything. We will not tolerate dogs left in the car. We have no cool place for you to leave them. It is a private property, not a public area. It is also a tour where you may not be the only group of people. We don’t need to elaborate on this matter. BUT if you require the help of a trained service dog, just leave a note with your booking and we will make arrangements to ensure that there is space for the animal as well and make sure it is comfortable for all our guests.

There is a 30 foot solid wooden staircase to go down to the shore. It is, sadly, the only way to the beach so please consider before booking.
